"For People Who Are Going Places." Seventy Years of operation by Musson-Patout Automotive Group, Inc., of New Iberia, Louisiana, continues under the unique leadership of two women. Owners and operators are the mother-daughter team of Jessamine Musson, Secretary-Treasurer, and Diane Musson, Dealer and President.

Offering seven lines of cars and trucks, including all models of Toyota, the company stresses value and selection at a one-stop location, important considerations "For People Who Are Going Places." The company operated under one franchise until the mid-80's, when economic conditions made diversification necessary. Nine other lines were added and a second showroom constructed.

Displayed in the new facility is the full line of Toyota products. The increasing demand by the public for cars and trucks of quality and low fuel consumption is fully met by their inventory.

Covering a four-block area, Musson-Patout Automotive Group is conveniently located near the Historic District in the heart of New Iberia at the intersections of Main Street and St. Peter at Jefferson Terrace (State Highways 182 and 83).

Employing approximately one hundred people, Musson-Patout strives to maintain its reputation as a family-oriented dealership in its associations with both customers and employees. Deeply committed to its community, the company is involved in civic and educational activities. Great pride is taken particularly in participation in technical training offered at local schools; in special summer automotive instruction for young people; and in drivers' education and safety programs.

Each month a special evening is set aside for new buyers. "Right from the Start" is a program that offers instructions and answers questions from new owners. A light buffet is provided, and all managers and salespeople are in attendance.

Since 1985 Musson-Patout has been recognized by The Times of Acadiana as one of the "Top 100 Privately-Held Companies in Acadiana." Sales in 1995 qualified the dealership for 6th Place on the list, making it one of the largest business operations in the area.
